One Flew Over The Cuckoo\u2019s Nest<\/em> is one of the most iconic books (and films) of all time. <\/p>\n

And now, a stage adaptation of the beloved story is headed exclusively to Melbourne. <\/p>\n

One Flew Over The Cuckoo\u2019s Nest<\/em> will be brought to life by visionary director Tyran Parke for a strictly limited season from 23 May 2020 in Her Majesty\u2019s Theatre, Melbourne. <\/p>\n

Set and costume designer Dann Barber and sound designer Michael Waters, from this year\u2019s critically acclaimed Barnum the Musical, are also on board for the production. <\/p>\n

In the lead role of Randle Patrick McMurphy is award-winning Australian actor, Lachy Hulme (Offspring<\/em>, Beaconsfield<\/em>, Romper Stomper<\/em>). <\/p>\n

The role of McMurphy, an anarchistic ex-army vet and convicted criminal, was made famous by Jack Nicholson in the 1975 film.<\/p>\n

An emotional rollercoaster, One Flew Over The Cuckoo\u2019s Nest <\/em>centres around a struggle for status between McMurphy and the unforgettable Nurse Ratched. A power-play between the two catapults audiences into a world of emotional button-pushing, chaos and rebellion. As we meet each patient and delve into their world, this play will both shock and delight in the most unexpected ways.<\/p>\n
