{"id":12196,"date":"2018-03-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-03-23T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/uncategorised\/science-says-youre-psychopath-if-you-order-your-coffee-way\/"},"modified":"2018-03-23T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2018-03-23T00:00:00","slug":"science-says-youre-psychopath-if-you-order-your-coffee-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/lifestyle\/science-says-youre-psychopath-if-you-order-your-coffee-way\/","title":{"rendered":"Science says you\u2019re a psychopath if you order your coffee this way"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Researchers from the University of Innsbruck in Austria looked at 953 American adults with the average age being 35.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The participants had to report which foods they liked better and then answer some personality questionnaires, which measured qualities such as narcissism, aggression, psychopathy, and <em>\u201ceveryday sadism,\u201d<\/em> or the tendency to enjoy inflicting pain on other.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Black coffee\" title=\"YOU\" height=\"621\" width=\"1104\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" class=\"media-element file-media-original nova-lazyload-image-wrapper lz-cont img-responsive\" data-delta=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/black_coffee_2.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The results, which were published in the journal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.journals.elsevier.com\/appetite\" style=\"background-color: white;\"><em>Appetite<\/em><\/a> found that those who liked bitter tastes were more likely to have <em>\u201cmalevolent personality traits\u201d<\/em>. Bitter foods included coffee, radishes, beer, tonic water and celery.<\/p>\n<p>Bitterness was found to be the biggest predictor of psychopathic tendencies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Black Coffee\" title=\"YOU\" height=\"618\" width=\"1104\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" class=\"media-element file-media-original nova-lazyload-image-wrapper lz-cont img-responsive\" data-delta=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/black_coffee_0.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Want to attract nicer people?
