An all-female musical about Henry VIII\u2019s beheaded\/besmirched wives? Where do we sign up?!<\/p>\n

The critically acclaimed West End smash hit SIX The Musical<\/em> is heading across the pond for a run of dates at the Sydney Opera House this summer. <\/p>\n

A hilariously witty satire, the pop-driven musical turns the story of Britain\u2019s notorious Tudor King and his six wives on its head, by passing the mic over to his Queens. <\/p>\n

Hear from Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howardand Catherine Parr through original pop numbers backed by an all-female band. <\/p>\n

The premise of the show positions all the wives as members of a pop band who are battling it out to decide which one should be the lead singer.<\/p>\n

Whoever had the worst time with old mate Henry wins the honour of being the star. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s a bit of Spice Girls, a bit of X-Factor<\/em> and a bit of Drunk History<\/em> in one, fabulously fierce musical comedy. <\/p>\n

Created by 24-year-old Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss who co-wrote the book, lyrics and music while at Cambridge, the global smash-hit soundtrack has since gathered over 300,000 daily streams.<\/p>\n

The sassy production has delighted audiences from the Edinburgh Fringe to London\u2019s West End, throughout USA, Canada and soon a full UK tour and a Broadway opening. <\/p>\n

The cast for the local production of SIX <\/em>is yet to be announced, however, highly respected Australian producers Louise Withers, Michael Coppel and Linda Bewick will present the Australian premiere.<\/p>\n
