It kick-starts our day and gives us a warm hug all at once.For that we are forever grateful.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\n  <img data-original=https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/giphy-170.gif alt=\"day coffee GIF\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" \/>\n  <noscript><img src=https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/giphy-170.gif alt=\"day coffee GIF\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" ><\/noscript>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>We love coffee so much (especially when we\u2019re half asleep at 7am) that we\u2019d be willing to do almost&nbsp;anything for it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Flirt with the barista? Yep.&nbsp;<br><br \/>\n\tPay $10? You betcha.&nbsp;<br><br \/>\n\tSacrifice our first born? Sure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s unlikely we\u2019ll have to do these things any time soon because our barista can\u2019t speak English, we don\u2019t live in Europe and last we checked we don\u2019t have any children.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>New research from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moccona.com.au\/\" target=\"_top\">Moccona Coffee<\/a> suggests there are some more realistic things Aussies are willing to give up for coffee.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In fact, forty-three per cent of people will skip making the bed to ensure they get their morning cup of gold.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-one per cent of people will skip breakfast which, if you ask us, is silly. Breakfast isn\u2019t only the most important meal of the day but the best meal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Seriously, bacon???!<\/p>\n<p>\n\n  <img data-original=https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/giphy-171.gif alt=\"100%\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" \/>\n  <noscript><img src=https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/giphy-171.gif alt=\"100%\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" ><\/noscript>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>Fourteen per cent of people will sacrifice getting to work on time and 13 per cent won\u2019t shower if&nbsp;it means they get a coffee.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n\n  <img data-original=https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/giphy-172.gif alt=\"baroness von sketch advice GIF\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" \/>\n  <noscript><img src=https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/giphy-172.gif alt=\"baroness von sketch advice GIF\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" ><\/noscript>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>The Moccona \u2018Barista Barometer\u2019 study surveyed over 1,000 Aussies to reveal their household habits and coffee quirks.
