You get a lot of support with the baby as a mother particularly in the early days but after the age of one it falls away,\u201d Kate said. \n
\u201cAfter that there isn’t a huge amount – lots of books to read. Everybody experiences the same struggle.\u201d<\/blockquote>\nReading self-help books? Kate is just like us (only with a bigger, more expensive wardrobe). \n\nKate\u2019s visited Family Action HQ to officially launch its new FamilyLine, a telephone, text and email service providing support to parents and carers struggling at home.\n\nVolunteers at the charity event, including mother-of-three Sagari Sarkar, were impressed by Kate’s confession. \n\n\u201cI think It makes her human. It makes her in touch. She is a parent, a very active parent, and I think that’s what people like about her,’ Sagari said.\n
\u201cShe may have slightly different circumstances to the rest of us but, you know, being a parent is being a parent.\u201d<\/blockquote>\nThis isn\u2019t the first time Kate has opened up about her parenting struggles. \n\nIn a speech at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists last year she spoke about how being a mother can sometimes be isolating.\n\n\u201c’Personally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience. However, at times it has also been a huge challenge – even for me who has support at home that most mothers do not,\u201d she said then.\n
\u201cFor many mothers, myself included, this can, at times lead to lack of confidence and feelings of ignorance.\u201d<\/blockquote>\nSo there you have it\u2013 proof that money can\u2019t buy everything. \n\nSure, it helps to have a live-in-nanny and a housekeeper but royal, normal or other, being a mum can still be a bloody difficult time. \n\nImages: Getty.<\/em>\n\n
