A Sydney woman no doubt had some trouble sleeping on Thursday night after finding out she won a record $107.57 million with Powerball.<\/p>\n

While the prize was set at $100 million, it grew by an extra $7 million due to the number of tickets sold. The record prize is the largest ever individual lottery prize in Australia.<\/p>\n\n

The Lott <\/a>shared on their site overnight the woman is a mother in her 40s from inner city Sydney. <\/p>\n

The winning numbers were: 20, 18, 33, 22, 11, 26, 4 with the Powerball number 9.<\/p>\n

Twenty people won the division two prize of $94,792.90 with more than $68.4 million won in divisions two to nine.<\/p>\n

The Lott spoke to the woman to break the news on Thursday night as she was a registered player. <\/p>\n

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, exclaimed, “I don’t understand what is going on!”<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had such a tumultuous day, so I don\u2019t know where I am and what I am doing! I don\u2019t understand \u2013 is this actually real?<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t believe it! I don\u2019t believe it! Is this a trick?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The winner initially misheard and thought she’d won $107,000:<\/p>\n

\u201cOh my god, $107,000! That\u2019s amazing!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

After being told the correct amount she said:<\/p>\n

\u201cWait \u2013 are you telling me I\u2019ve won $107 million?! Oh my God! That is just so much money!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When asked about how she’ll spend the money she said she wouldn’t be quitting her job and her family will share in her winnings:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a healthcare professional but I won\u2019t be retiring! I\u2019m so passionate about my job. It will drive me to do more health work for causes important to me.”<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll be sharing it with my family. I thought of my family when I purchased the ticket!<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not quite sure what to do but of course I will be helping my family.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll be giving my <\/em>favourite<\/em> charity some money! They\u2019ll get a whole slab of money!<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAll the win gives me is the chance to go and do the things I\u2019ve always want to do. We might buy a caravan and travel around too.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

To celebrate the woman said she was going to enjoy “a cheap glass of <\/em>chardonnay<\/em>“. <\/em><\/p>\n

What an amazing story, we’re not even a little jealous… OK, maybe a tiny bit.<\/p>\n
