Ellen DeGeneres has revealed she’s considering retiring from her daytime talk show.\u200b<\/p>\n

The host spoke to the New York Times<\/em><\/a> and said her contract is up in the US summer of 2020.<\/p>\n\n

Ellen revealed her wife Portia de Rossi wants her to quit the show, but her brother Vance DeGeneres wants her to continue on.<\/p>\n

She said about Portia:<\/p>\n

\u201cShe gets mad when my brother tells me I can\u2019t stop.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

With Portia adding:<\/p>\n

\u201cI just think she\u2019s such a brilliant actress and stand-up that it doesn\u2019t have to be this talk show for her creativity… There are other things she could tackle.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The show is currently in its 16th season after starting in 2003 and the host is constantly changing her mind about whether to retire from the show or not. <\/p>\n

The actress wants to do more movies and plays, while Portia reckons she could do radio or podcasts.<\/p>\n

Portia said:<\/p>\n

“I don’t see the end of her show as her career ending.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What’s most surprising to us is the fact Ellen is even getting sick of dancing on the show!<\/p>\n

She said:<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/em>There\u2019s<\/em> been times someone wants a picture, and while I\u2019m doing a selfie, they\u2019re like: \u2018You\u2019re not dancing!\u2019\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cOf course I\u2019m not dancing. I\u2019m walking down the street.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Should Ellen quit the show she’s not going poor, the star has reportedly earned $87.5 million USD just this year alone! <\/p>\n
