Sophie Monk announced her split with Stu Laundy in January this year and later revealed she had plans to freeze her eggs so she could have children with or without a man. <\/p>\n

On Monday, the reality star took to Instagram to share a photo of herself in a hospital bed at Monash IVF revealing doctors found she had endometriosis.<\/p>\n\n

In a video, Monk appears to have just woken up from what appears to be a surgical procedure and the doctor tells her:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe did find some endometriosis, but not a lot.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\"Sophie<\/p>\n

Endometriosis occurs when tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside the area. It can cause fertility issues and can be very painful.<\/p>\n

Sophie captioned the video:<\/p>\n

\u201cSo many women live not knowing they have endometriosis. If you have annoying cycles. You should ask your doctor.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In another video where she’s unconscious, the former singer joked, “Best sleep I’ve had in years.” <\/em><\/p>\n

She also called the Monash IVF staff “bloody legends”<\/em> and “angels<\/em>“.<\/p>\n

In February, Sophie told A Current Affair<\/em><\/a> she’s determined to start a family despite not having a partner:<\/p>\n

“I’d love to [have kids] because I know they’d be so loved. I’d love to be a mum but I’m going to have to freeze eggs.”<\/em><\/p>\n

“I’ve made a plan… It’s just the injections and all of those things…and fitting them into my schedule. I’m definitely doing it.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She has also admitted to News.Com.Au<\/em><\/a> that if she had a baby by herself she’d “find it really difficult” <\/em>and “lonely”.<\/em> However, she added she feels like she’s missing out by not being a mother.<\/p>\n

Sophie has also recently revealed she’s seeing someone who lives in the US.<\/p>\n
