The authoritative voice of World News SBS.<\/em><\/p>\n\n However, today Lee Lin Chin announced this Sunday will be the last national World News bulletin she does for SBS.<\/p>\n Managing editor of Ten Daily and friend of Lee Lin, Sandra Sully had an exclusive interview with the journalist:<\/p>\n “There’s not one big reason, there’s many small to medium-sized reasons, which for the time being I wish to keep to myself but may talk about one day. <\/em><\/p>\n “One reason I shall reveal however is that working two days a week didn’t give me enough time to devote to the pub and re-reading the complete works of Shakespeare. So now that I work zero days that issue has been addressed.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n It’s a decision many of her colleagues and fans did not see coming.<\/p>\n “It has been something I’ve considered for a number of years now. I thought SBS would just fire me one day so I’d never have to make the decision, they obviously didn’t and in fact offered me a two year contract extension at the start of the year. <\/em><\/p>\n “So I had to start considering it a lot more seriously.<\/em><\/p>\n “The reason why it took so long was because of the fans. Every day at least five people will approach me and say that they love me on the news and that they watch every week. <\/em><\/p>\n “It does feel slightly as if I am letting them down by leaving. Please don’t hate me.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Her fans not only follow her on TV’s small screen, but on their tiny screens as well, keeping up with her dry and unpredictable tweets.<\/p>\n\n Are the @TVWEEKmag<\/a> #Logies<\/a> this weekend?
