Buckingham Palace\u2019s lawyers have been called in to assist with a request for Prince Charles to attend a UK child abuse inquiry. <\/p>\n\n

The Prince of Wales has refused an invitation to provide evidence in the handling of an alleged child abuse case by former British Bishop, Peter Ball.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt is reported the accused Bishop and Prince Charles are understood to have written to one another, exchanging letters over a period of time.<\/p>\n

According to New Idea<\/em><\/a>, lawyers used a human rights law which overrules a request for a witness statement to be heard by the Prince in person. <\/p>\n

It is being reported the inquiry will hear a letter signed by Charles, instead. <\/p>\n

Ball was sentenced to a jail term of 32 months in 2015 for crimes committed over a span of 30 years.<\/p>\n
