Actress and mother-of-two Sandra Bullock has made headlines after she decided to open up about some of the more disturbing experiences she\u2019s had during her time in Hollywood.<\/p>\n\n

This is a narrative that, sadly, is not all too uncommon in the entertainment industry\u2026 as the #MeToo movement has very clearly pointed out.<\/p>\n\n

As news.com.au<\/a> has reported, the Oceans 8 star spoke with the Sunday Times <\/em>about challenging times in her career, revealing that she was once made so uncomfortable by a senior team member that she asked to be fired from the film.<\/p>\n

\u201cVery early on in my career I had a situation on a film, which was hard,\u201d she told the publication.<\/em><\/p>\n

 \u201cIt came from a person of authority. I kept deflecting it with humour and it didn\u2019t work. Finally, I said, \u2018Please just fire me.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Remaining on the topic of harassment and assault in Hollywood, Bullock went on to discuss her impression of disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, sharing that she spent a good amount of time fearing the man.<\/p>\n

\u201cI heard about Harvey and I was afraid of him,\u201d she said.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t asked to be in that world. I learnt early on to shut things off so those things didn\u2019t come my way. I only heard what Harvey wanted people to hear, and that made me so f**king angry. People would say, \u2018Well, you know how she got that role? She f**ked Harvey.\u2019 I would say, \u2018Shut the f**k up. You don\u2019t know that.\u2019 Then, later, to find out that woman was brutally attacked \u2026 They didn\u2019t sleep with Harvey. Harvey wanted you to think that.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In late May, Weinstein was officially charged with rape and sexual abuse.<\/p>\n
