After news broke that the Roseanne<\/em> reboot had been canned over a racist tweet shared by the show\u2019s star, Roseanne Barr, there were calls for a spinoff series focused on every other character in the show almost immediately.<\/p>\n\n

We\u2019re here to tell you, that is exactly<\/em> what ABC has decided to do.<\/p>\n\n

As Buzzfeed<\/em><\/a> has reported, the network has agreed to produce a 10-episode spinoff called The Conners<\/em>, which will follow the journeys of ~literally every other main character from the show~. From what we can tell, it appears the series will take place in a time after the Conner family had experienced \u201ca sudden turn of events\u201d<\/em> (read: Roseanne is probs gonna die). <\/p>\n

ABC has specified<\/a> that “Roseanne Barr will have no financial or creative involvement in the new series” <\/em>and the company has shared that the new show will slide on into the slot previously held by the Roseanne<\/em> reboot (which was Tuesdays at 8pm, local time). <\/p>\n

While we don’t have a date just yet, we do know the show is coming to tellies in time for the USA’s autumn months. <\/p>\n\n
