While most people would steer quite clear of inviting an ex to their wedding, Prince Harry made headlines earlier this week for inviting Chelsy Davy to watch him wed Meghan Markle.\u200b<\/p>\n

Now, Vanity Fair <\/em><\/a>is reporting that the 32-year-old got in touch with Harry last week after she found out she had been invited to the wedding but not the reception at Frogmore House. The call is said to to be closure for the formal couple. <\/p>\n\n

A family friend told the publication:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged Harry was moving on.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cChelsy was quite emotional about it all, she was in tears and almost didn’t go to the wedding. <\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIn the end, she went and promised Harry she wouldn’t try and gatecrash the party.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The 32-year-old dated Harry from 2003 to 2010 and arrived at the wedding with fellow ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas. <\/p>\n

Many people took to social media to comment on Chelsy’s somber face during the service, saying her pensive face was saying, “It should have been me!”<\/em><\/p>\n

Body language expert Judi James spoke to the Daily Mail<\/a> <\/em>and said:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen she arrived, everyone else was chatting and laughing, but she sat in the pews just looking to one side – gazing reflectively into space and biting her lips slightly. <\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cShe was doing that at the end as well. It was almost the soap opera part of the ceremony.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Chelsy and Harry have remained friends since their 2010 breakup, even attending Prince William’s wedding together so maybe she thought there was still a glimmer of hope for the pair?<\/p>\n
