Samantha Grant’s latest interview sees her calling out her half-sister, Meghan Markle, who married Prince Harry on Saturday to become the Duchess of Sussex, to “do the right thing”. <\/em><\/p>\n

Ms Grant is calling on her sister to reunite their troubled family after being inspired by Bishop Michael Curry at the Duchess’ wedding. <\/p>\n\n

Speaking with The Sun<\/em><\/a>, Ms Grant said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI watched the bishop talk about love and unity and forgiveness and I hoped it would strike a chord within Meghan.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cSo if that was real and if I were to define a principle to all of this then it would be that we all just work for a peaceful resolution and reunion as a family.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Samantha and Meghan have been estranged for a decade, but Samantha is now saying she would like to reconcile in order to bring peace to the Markle family.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel a religious and moral obligation to be open to her and not be vindictive or isolating or hurt.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThis should ride on her conscience as a moral obligation to at some point communicate with me and be united rather than divided \u2014 as that was the whole message.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIf she wants to do the morally and religiously right thing then she will and I\u2019m open to that.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This is a huge U-turn for Samantha, who is currently writing a book about Meghan, which is called The Diary of a Pushy Princess.<\/p>\n

Samantha also revealed the sisters’ father Thomas Markle is being secretly cared for in LA after having heart surgery before the wedding. <\/p>\n

She said Thomas told her “his baby was beautiful” after watching the wedding on TV. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe was happy and proud. He\u2019s very gentlemanly and chivalrous. It was a beautiful wedding.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She also spoke of how her father was publicly shamed after she encouraged him to organise paparazzi shots as he prepared for the wedding. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s sad because he\u2019s always going to be regretting that he couldn\u2019t walk Meghan down the aisle and <\/em>feeling<\/em> socially shamed, unjustly really.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cTo do that to a 73-year-old man I think was so incredibly horrible.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Samantha also spoke of how angry she was there was no public statement about her father at the wedding:<\/p>\n

\u201cI know the day is about Meghan and Harry but, had Charles been in <\/em>hospital<\/em> with a heart attack, I think there would have been statements released expressing their sadness that he wasn\u2019t there.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She added that Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland “hogged the limelight<\/em>” at the wedding:<\/p>\n

\u201cFor people to say she was the only Markle there is inappropriate. She\u2019s not. She has no business calling herself a Markle anymore.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cMy father has made Meg 99 <\/em>per cent<\/em> of what she is today, through education, career opportunities, love and nurturing, her great sense of <\/em>humour<\/em>, building her self-esteem.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cTo omit the person most integral in her development, everybody\u2019s hurt by it.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really upset about the lack of respect for him.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
