{"id":3439,"date":"2018-05-15T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-05-15T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/uncategorised\/the-moment-brought-carrie-bickmore-tears-live-air-last-night\/"},"modified":"2018-05-15T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2018-05-15T00:00:00","slug":"the-moment-brought-carrie-bickmore-tears-live-air-last-night","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/entertainment\/the-moment-brought-carrie-bickmore-tears-live-air-last-night\/","title":{"rendered":"The moment that brought Carrie Bickmore to tears on The Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Carrie Bickmore was moved to tears on&nbsp;<em>The Project&nbsp;<\/em>last night and honestly, there probably wasn&#8217;t a dry eye in the house.<\/p>\n<p>The segment which prompted the reaction involved a 12-year-old boy with Tourette&#8217;s Syndrome.<\/p>\n<p>Cameron touched viewers with his story of perserverance admit verbal and non-verbal tics.<\/p>\n<p>While admitting his tics had led to suicidal thoguhts, the young boy showed remarkable emotional intelligence throughout the six minute segment.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cI\u2019d just like to say I hope whoever\u2019s watching this will [take] this chance to understand that if you see someone in public swearing or body movements or sounds, just leave them, because there\u2019s a really high possibility that they could have Tourette\u2019s,\u201d Cameron said.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">You\u2019ve probably heard of Tourette Syndrome but what\u2019s it like to live with?
