Meghan Markle\u2019s dad Thomas Markle is reportedly experiencing serious chest pains following a heart attack he suffered six days ago and will not be attending her wedding to Prince Harry. Speaking with TMZ<\/em><\/a>, he said the pains were triggered by emotional upset.<\/p>\n

Mr Markle referenced his older daughter Samantha Grant, who has been saying terrible things about Meghan ahead of her wedding on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n

Thomas told the publication:<\/p>\n

“I’ve been popping Valium for the pain, especially when I hear about my oldest daughter.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He decided not to go to the wedding and give Meghan away, saying he believes Meghan\u2019s mother Doria Ragland would be a good choice to walk their daughter down the aisle. <\/p>\n

Thomas told TMZ<\/em> he\u2019s worried he could be on the verge of another heart attack. <\/p>\n

Despite being in poor health, Thomas initially planned on attending the wedding until he was caught staging paparazzi photos.<\/p>\n

He told the gossip site he \u201cmeant no harm\u201d<\/em> to his daughter and the royal family when he agreed to let a photography agency take pics of him preparing for the wedding.<\/p>\n

While he claims money wasn\u2019t the primary motivation, Meghan\u2019s dad was allegedly paid $100,000 for the deal.<\/p>\n

Thomas says the paparazzi agency approached him, offered him money and he figured there was no harm in it and it would help recast his image. <\/p>\n

Kensington Palace have officially responded to the news, saying, “this is a deeply personal moment”<\/em> and \u201c[Meghan] and Prince Harry ask for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr. Markle in this difficult situation.”<\/em><\/p>\n
