It\u2019s been a pretty warm autumn, but it looks as though the end of the week will bring with it some very cold weather as a blast of Antarctic air hits the southeast of Australia. <\/p>\n

The Bureau of Meteorology says a pool of cold air is sitting about 2000km from our shores and will cross the southeast states at the end of this week.<\/p>\n\n

Sydney has enjoyed a week of 27\u02da days, but on Friday the temps will drop to just 12\u02da and will get no higher than 18\u02da on both Friday and Saturday. However, it\u2019ll feel much colder thanks to the wind chill factor which will be 1\u02da or 2\u02da across the city.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also the chance of a late shower on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Melbourne\u2019s experienced fairly cool weather all week and on Thursday and Friday it\u2019ll be 13\u02da with temps set to drop to just 6\u02da on Friday. <\/p>\n

On the weekend it\u2019ll get to 15\u02da on Saturday and 16\u02da on Sunday. It\u2019s also expected to be very rainy on Friday. <\/p>\n

Brisbane will likely only drop a few degrees, so if you really hate the cool weather it might be a good idea to just head up north!<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a skier or snowboarder, ski resorts are forecast to get a lot of snow this weekend with 20cm forecast at Mount Hotham and Mount Buller in Victoria, and 40cm in NSW resorts. <\/p>\n
