Meghan Markle has decided she won’t be having a maid of honour by her side when she weds Prince Harry on May 19, according to Kensington Palace officials. <\/p>\n
And the reason is actually very relatable \u2013 she simply can’t decide who to choose out of her close-knit group of friends. <\/p>\n\n
A palace spokesperson said:<\/p>\n
“She has a very close-knit circle of friends and she didn’t want to choose one over another. All have been actively involved in helping her prepare for the day and will be there in the days beforehand. She’s very happy to have their support.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
It was originally believed that Meghan would choose Jessica Mulroney, who helped keep her relationship with Harry a secret, however, she has still been hugely involved in helping Meghan with her big day. <\/p>\n
Some believed Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra, Sarah Rafferty or Gina Torres might be in the running to stand beside Meghan. <\/p>\n
Meghan is set to follow royal tradition and have a bridal party made of up of children who will serve as page boys, bridesmaids and flower girls. The names will be announced on the week of the wedding, but it is believed Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be part of the group. Prince Louis, however, is too young to attend the mammoth event. <\/p>\n
Prince Harry has asked Prince William to be his best man, with Kensington Palace confirming the news last week. <\/p>\n
