Prince Charles has been announced as one of the \u2018celebrity\u2019 guests on Masterchef this year and is filming his cameo while he\u2019s in the country for the Commonwealth Games.<\/p>\n

The Prince will be the guest of honour at a reception for 150 people at the Royal Flying Doctor Service base in Darwin and the show\u2019s contestants will be cooking at the event. <\/p>\n\n

Gary Mehigan told News Corp<\/a><\/em>:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Prince of Wales is well known for loving everything <\/em>home grown<\/em>.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWith this in mind, the challenge for our contestants is to use native and indigenous <\/em>flavours<\/em> along with locally sourced ingredients.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a tremendous <\/em>honour<\/em> for us all.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is not only an enormous privilege and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to cook for His Royal Highness but a challenge too.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kangaroo and crocodile will be on the menu along with many other Australian ingredients.<\/p>\n

The episode is set to be one of the highlights for season ten. <\/p>\n
