Most of us love getting together with friends over a bottle of vino, but Aussie wine lovers are taking it to the next level by hosting blind tasting parties in their homes.<\/p>\n

For years, leading wine retailer Cellarmasters has been providing thousands of customers with the annual case of the Tasting Panel\u2019s six best red wines of the year, complete with everything you need for a blind tasting party \u2013 paper bags, tasting notes and instructions on how to host.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis case is by far the most popular among our customers, and it\u2019s great to see that more and more Aussies are getting into the habit of hosting blind wine tasting parties,\u201d said Christine Ricketts, Cellar Director at Cellarmasters.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cBlind tasting wines is a great way to remove any preconceptions you may have about a specific wine variety or region. When you are <\/em>blind<\/em> tasting and comparing wines, it prompts you to really take note of the aromas, flavours and the texture. So in other words, blind tasting can be a real <\/em>eye opener<\/em> into the world wines,\u201d she added.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to Ricketts, being able to correctly pick a wine can be difficult for even the most trained palate:<\/p>\n

\u201cWine blind tasting is difficult so you might not get it right, but it\u2019s a fun and great way to train your palate, master your wine journey and discover new wine varieties,\u201d she explained.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
