Today in strange Hollywood news, we’ve found out that Aussie actress, Cate Blanchett, has a very strange secret to making her skin look so damn good. And we’re not really sure what we think about it!<\/p>\n\n

The 48-year-old Thor: Ragnarok <\/em>star has long been known for her near-perfect complexion (honestly, it\u2019s mind-blowing how great her skin is) and so, us mere mortals are constantly looking for tips on how to emulate her flawless look. <\/p>\n

In a recent interview with Vogue<\/em>, Blanchett <\/a>spoke about the newest skincare trend she\u2019s been game to try and, well\u2026 it\u2019s really odd. <\/p>\n

She tried something she referred to as a penis facial.<\/p>\n

Oh, yes. You read that correctly. <\/p>\n

\u201cSandy Bullock and I saw this facialist in New York, Georgia Louise, and she gives what we call the penis facial and it\u2019s something \u2014 I don\u2019t know what it is, or whether it\u2019s just \u2019cause it smells a bit like sperm \u2014 there\u2019s some enzyme in it so Sandy refers to it as the penis facial,\u201d she told the mag.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

However. <\/p>\n

As Women\u2019s Health<\/em><\/a> reports, this facial doesn\u2019t get its nickname because it \u201csmells a bit like sperm\u201d<\/em>. Its actual name is the Hollywood Epidermal Growth Factor (Hollywood probably because where else would this take off) and it is legitimately made from human penises. <\/p>\n

The beautician behind the procedure has disclosed on her website <\/a>that the facial includes a treatment using her \u201c\u2018secret box\u2019 of EGF serum\u201d <\/em>which is made from \u201cthe progenitor cells of the human fibroblast taken from Korean newborn baby foreskin \u2013 which helps to generate collagen and elastin.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

In case you missed that, it’s baby foreskins. <\/p>\n

But wait! There\u2019s more. The facial doesn\u2019t simply involve having your skin coated in baby foreskin serum, it\u2019s even more intense than that. <\/p>\n

The website continues:<\/p>\n

\u201cFDA approved stem cells and peptides are penetrated deep into the skin using a special electric micro- needling wand. This process allows the active ingredients to be transported deep <\/em>in<\/em> the skin by creating temporary <\/em>micro- channel<\/em>.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I mean, hey\u2026 It\u2019s all above board and it assumedly keeps Cate Blanchett looking divine, so if you feel like giving penis facials a try, be our guest. We think we might stick to clay masks for now, though.<\/p>\n
