Sir Elton John has pledged to donate $1 million to the Australian bushfire disaster relief fund.<\/p>\n
The English singing legend announced his donation at a concert at Sydney\u2019s Qudos Bank Arena on Tuesday night, praising firies battling blazes all over the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou should all be in awe of the work that the firefighters are doing,\u201d Sir Elton said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are people out there who have lost their lives trying to save homes, there are people who have lost their lives and their homes.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd last, is the plight of the animals and loss of their habitat that frankly, is on a biblical scale and heartbreaking.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cTherefore tonight I will be pledging $1million.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
