Keep Moving<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aim to move your body for 30 minutes every single day. This doesn\u2019t have to always be high-intensity (though at least three of these workouts should challenge you) and you don\u2019t need anything fancy, or any equipment. There are endless options when it comes to body weight exercises. Squats, static lunges, sit-ups, planks and mountain climbers are some great examples of body weight exercises you can do, just about anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Eat Well<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It can be easy to make multiple trips to the fridge or pantry when you\u2019re stuck at home but it is so important to eat a balanced, real food diet to help you stay healthy and to give your immune system a boost. Aim for three quality meals per day with lots of fruit and veg and make sure you\u2019re getting a balance of wholegrains, lean protein and good fats. As always, don\u2019t forget to drink plenty of water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Sleep<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sleep is absolutely vital if you want a healthy immune system. Sleep has a positive effect on the functioning of our immune system, giving us a far better chance to fight off illness. You should aim for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthdirect.gov.au\/healthy-sleep-habits\">eight hours of quality sleep<\/a> per night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Stretch<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spending more time at home often means more time seated (or lying horizontal on the couch). Make sure you take time to stretch frequently throughout the day and don\u2019t fall into bad posture habits. If you have a standing desk at work, take it home. If you\u2019re simply using the kitchen table as a workstation, make sure your computer sits at a comfortable height to prevent craning your neck.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Practice Proper Hygiene<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This might seem obvious&#8230; but so many people do not wash their hands properly. Practicing good hygiene is more important now than ever before, so make sure you are frequently washing your hands with soap and water for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthdirect.gov.au\/hand-washing\">at least 20 seconds<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Need a body-weight workout to do at home?
