That oozing, sweet filing yet coy name and humble packaging\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Monte Carlo has it all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arnott\u2019s has released the biscuit recipe so we can all make those bad boys at home. In fact, the biccie lords will be sharing one recipe a week starting from today. Here\u2019s how to make the Monte Carlo (approx 10 serves) at home:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Arnott\u2019s Monte Carlo Biscuit Recipe ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">125g butter, softened<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00bd cup (125g) caster sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00bd tsp finely grated lemon rind<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 tsp vanilla essence<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2 tbsp golden syrup<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 egg<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">40g desiccated coconut<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 \u00bd cups (240g) plain flour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cream ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">60g butter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00be cup (150g) pure icing sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2 tsp milk<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Raspberry jam<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019ll also need a baking tray, baking paper and a medium mixing bowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. Preheat over to 170\u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. In a medium mixing bowl place butter, sugar, lemon rind, vanilla and golden syrup. Beat for approximately 1 minute. Add egg and beat for a further minute. Do not over beat. Stir in sifted flour and coconut until well combined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. Place half the dough mixture on a piece of baking paper and wrap to form a log. Repeat with remaining dough mixture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or until slightly firm. Using a serrated knife, cut into 8mm slices. Place on baking sheet and bake for 14 minutes or until golden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6. Allow to cool on the tray for 5 minutes then place on a cooling rack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7. For the cream filling, place butter, sugar and milk in a medium bowl and beat until light and fluffy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">8.
