Honestly, with wine and Netflix\u00a0to distract us self-sufficient adults, we can\u2019t imagine how parents of small children are handling filling the day-years with activities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So it\u2019s no wonder one Aussie mum is being praised for her \u201cgenius\u201d $2 Kmart hack for dip-dying hair to keep her daughter entertained in lockdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caitlin Summerell posted her cheap and easy way to temporarily give her daughter a colourful new hairstyle to the Kmart Mums Australia<\/a> Facebook group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dubbing her hack \u201cthe tissue paper trick\u201d, Caitlin used coloured tissue paper (which costs $2 at Kmart<\/a>) and bowls of warm water to temporarily dip-dye her daughter\u2019s long blonde hair.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGet the kids to lie down and dip the hair in the bowls for 10 mins,\u201d she wrote.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLeave the crepe or tissue paper in the water, pat dry with a towel and then naturally dry hair. Lasts about 2 weeks, longer if you wash with cool water.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The dye from the paper gave her daughter\u2019s hair a temporary dip-dye look, resulting in rainbow hair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kmart hack gained instant attention from thousands of members wanting to try the trick at home \u2013 some on their kids and some wanting a fancy new \u2018do for themselves!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
