Over in Western Australia, Premier Mark McGowan asked the 55,000 fans who were pumped making their way to Optus Stadium for Thursday\u2019s Big Bash semi-final to “leave early”. <\/p>\n
Yep, “leave early” from a sold out and much anticipated game.<\/p>\n
Apparently Perth\u2019s public transport system was not prepared for the sellout crowd and was expected to suffer under the strain of people. <\/p>\n
\u201cI would just ask everyone to be understanding that the transport system will have difficulty coping, in particular leaving the stadium.<\/em><\/p>\n
\u201cIf you can leave early or delay your departure, that would be a good thing.<\/em><\/p>\n
\u201cIf we can make sure that our train network can cope by people being a bit more understanding and perhaps going a little bit earlier or a little bit later, that would be great.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
The match which sold out in minutes only had a cap of 45,000 people in order to reduce the expected chaos on public transport.<\/p>\n
