Retail giant Kmart<\/em> is being praised by parents across the nation for their latest range of inclusive kids\u2019 dolls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest range of dolls is a part of Kmart\u2019s <\/em>\u201cinclusion\u201d range, with all the dolls featuring various disabilities or impairments. Awesome, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The $6 range of dolls includes a girl with a prosthetic leg, a girl carrying a cane and a boy with a hearing aid.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe want all of our customers, especially our littlest ones, to be able to find products that they can truly relate to; and we\u2019re committed to championing inclusion and diversity to make sure this happens,\u201d<\/em> John Gualtieri Kmart Retail Director Australian and New Zealand told 7News.<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

He confirmed the retailer\u2019s excitement at the release of the dolls, hoping they would help children across the nation celebrate their differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe hope these dolls help children celebrate all of the wonderful things that make us different and unique; and that they can help remove some of the stigma around disability,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Gualtieri also mentioned that the dolls are dressed just like their other fashion dolls to show people that being disabled shouldn\u2019t stop anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve dressed them in trendy outfits and named them \u2018Fashion Dolls\u2019 to show they are just like their able-bodied friends,\u201d <\/em>he confirmed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The release of the assortment of dolls has been praised by Kmart <\/em>fans across Australia, with one Mum Emma sharing her excitement at the new range to the Kmart Mums Australia<\/a> Facebook page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is so important that kids with disabilities are represented in tv, books and toys. It\u2019s equally important their typical developing peers have exposure to these things. It empowers kid\u2019s to celebrate ability!\u201d <\/em>she wrote in the Kmart Mum\u2019s Australia Facebook Page.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
