In episode eight of Invisible Heroes<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>Madeleine West interviews Leseera Kai about her journey helping those who have found themselves homeless, victims of domestic violence and others in need of a community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Leseera has also endured her own tragedy, she has spent the past two decades working tirelessly to help those who have lost their way at the Mullumbimby District Neighbourhood Centre as the coordinator and bookkeeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leseera Kai… mother, daughter, friend. A gentle woman with a big smile and and an even bigger #heart. Despite experiencing significant #tragedy and extreme #hardship, this woman has made it her life\u2019s work to help those who have fallen by the wayside, who have slipped between the cracks. 1 in 200 Australians sleep without a bed, without a roof over their heads every night. The reason why are many and varied, but as Leseera explains with deep #compassion, #humour , #positivity, and simple humanity, when it comes to losing your way stereotypes do not apply.
