Bunnings\u2019 community sausage sizzles will return to selected stores throughout NSW and the ACT this month, so prepare your stomach guys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you\u2019re based in the ACT, you\u2019re in luck \u2018cause you\u2019ll be reunited with these bad boys this weekend, 3 October. NSW will have to wait an extra week, with the sausage sizzles commencing on 10 October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bunnings Chief Operating Officer, Deb Poole, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe know community groups and customers in NSW and the ACT are keen to see community sausage sizzles return and we\u2019re really excited to be bringing them back in a way that will keep everyone safe.<\/em><\/p>
\u201cWe\u2019ve had phenomenal customer feedback in states where we\u2019ve brought the fundraisers back and community groups have done an incredible job prioritising customer safety with the new physically distanced layouts and additional hygiene measures. <\/em><\/p>
\u201cWhile our community groups are taking a number of extra precautions, what hasn\u2019t changed is the great feeling of supporting a local community group and the unmistakable taste of an Aussie sausage sizzle,\u201d Deb said. <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Bunnings suspended community sausage sizzles in March due to COVID-19. For community groups that were booked over the following month, Bunnings donated $500 gift cards to these local organisations to assist with their fundraising activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Community groups who had sausage sizzles pre-booked during the lockdown are being prioritised for the restart, with around 130 groups booked to run events in NSW on the first weekend back and around 10 groups booked in the ACT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
