{"id":42284,"date":"2020-10-14T08:34:24","date_gmt":"2020-10-13T21:34:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/?p=42284"},"modified":"2020-10-14T08:34:29","modified_gmt":"2020-10-13T21:34:29","slug":"recipe-linguine-with-sicilian-pesto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/lifestyle\/recipes\/recipe-linguine-with-sicilian-pesto\/","title":{"rendered":"RECIPE:  Linguine With Sicilian Pesto"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If you didn\u2019t already know, Mike &amp; Jen from <em>The More Music Breakfast Show with Mike Perso and Jennifer Hansen <\/em>love to cook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Monday, Mike revealed the &#8211; amazing &#8211; recipe he discovered for <a href=\"https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/lifestyle\/recipes\/recipe-crispy-oven-baked-chicken-tenders\/\">crispy oven baked chicken tenders<\/a> and this morning, he was raving about Silvia Colloca\u2019s Linguine with Sicilian Pesto dish he cooked from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delicious.com.au\/recipes\/linguine-sicilian-pesto-del-sunday\/OAHTadu7?fbclid=IwAR2iEkSVgHHET0GY7juY0fIxr7rlRyByy6IpCLhz2LnAy-vZvDM3S8igh6Y\"><em>delicious.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, it was as tasty as it sounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out the <em>delicious <\/em>recipe below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>100g blanched almonds<\/li><li>500g Roma tomatoes<\/li><li>\u2153 cup (25g) finely grated pecorino (or parmesan), plus extra to serve.<\/li><li>2 garlic cloves<\/li><li>1 large bunch of basil with the leaves picked, plus extra leaves to serve.<\/li><li>\u2153 cup (80ml) extra virgin olive oil<\/li><li>400g linguine<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed-podcast\/show\/7atRdaOsvf4N7bZxMQxgrn\" width=\"100%\" height=\"232\" frameborder=\"0\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allow=\"encrypted-media\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Place the almonds in the food processor until finely chopped.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Quarter the tomatoes, then remove and discard the seeds.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Chop the tomatoes roughly, then place in the food processor along with the garlic, basil leaves, pecorino and olive oil. Season, then pulse to a rough paste.<\/li><li>Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil over medium-high heat. Add the pasta and cook until al dente.
