Love this guy. #love #mybae #marriedmybestfriend #blessed #lovehim\u201d<\/em> then this update is going to be of interest to you.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to science, and a sexologist who spoke with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/femail\/article-4115946\/Sexologist-Nikki-Goldstein-says-loved-social-media-sign-relationship-failing.html\"><em>The Daily Mail<\/em><\/a>, the couples who go overboard on social media are the ones who are usually completely unhappy IRL.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"COUPLE GETTY\" title=\"LOVE\" height=\"927\" width=\"1400\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" class=\"media-element file-media-original nova-lazyload-image-wrapper lz-cont img-responsive\" data-delta=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/gettyimages-645665382-scaled.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Nikki Goldstein chatted with the publication and explained that a heap of sappy posts on social media are usually a sign of trouble in paradise:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cOften it\u2019s the people who post the most who are seeking validation for their relationship from other people on social media,\u201d she said.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe likes and comments can be so validating that when someone is really struggling, that\u2019s where they get their up from \u2013 not the person making the gesture, but what other people will say about it.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Goldstein went on to explain that a lot of the time, these couples are more focussed on their presence online than the moment they&#8217;re sharing with their partners, which is an obvious warning sign for a relationship:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cCouples are taking these photos, straight away putting them online and then watching the likes and comments instead of being with their partners,\u201d she said.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The behavioural expert also shared that using words like <em>\u201cmy boy\/girl\u201d<\/em> or <em>\u201cmy bae\u201d<\/em> too often can be a sign of people hoping to<em> \u201cflaunt\u201d<\/em> their happiness to friends or even to an ex \u2013 yikes!<\/p>\n<p>So, the next time you\u2019re scrolling through a sea of loved-up photos on Facebook, remember: social media doesn\u2019t always tell the full story. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Image: Getty<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spoiler alert: It\u2019s bad.
