Fire Sergeant Xavia Gourmelon has told&nbsp;<em>Globe Magazine<\/em>&nbsp;that he after seeing her injuries, he thought Diana would live:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cTo be honest, I thought she would live\u2026 As far as I knew, when she was put in the ambulance she was alive \u2013 and I expected her to live!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Gourmelon said that the royal&#8217;s last words were, &#8220;<em>Oh my God, what&#8217;s happened?&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>He added that he was shocked to later find out she had died, after thinking the injuries weren&#8217;t too bad:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cI could see she had a slight shoulder injury to her right shoulder, but other than that there was nothing significant \u2013 there was no blood on her at all.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI tried to calm her\u2026 she was moving her left arm which was free, but her right was trapped. I held her hand.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"princess diana\" title=\"ENTERTAINMENT\" height=\"920\" width=\"1400\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" class=\"media-element file-default nova-lazyload-image-wrapper lz-cont img-responsive\" data-delta=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.smooth.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/princess_diana_funeral_anwar_hussein_wireimage.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n\n<p>When Diana was freed from the car, a doctor had to restart her heart:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cAt that moment the doctor told us her heart had stopped. So we started giving her heart massage, two of us, and her heart started beating almost immediately. We put her in the ambulance.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Diana was not wearing a seatbelt when the limo crashed and there are plenty of conspiracy theories that suggest she&nbsp;was murdered&nbsp;and that it wasn&#8217;t an accident at all.
