The part led to a spin-off and earned her two Emmys and a Golden Globe.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She also appeared in the movies <em>History of the World: Part 1<\/em> and <em>The Last Picture Show,<\/em> while winning rave reviews as the mysterious Frau Blucher in Mel Brooks&#8217; comedy classic <em>Young Frankenstein<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed-podcast\/show\/7atRdaOsvf4N7bZxMQxgrn\" width=\"100%\" height=\"232\" frameborder=\"0\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allow=\"encrypted-media\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leachman also appeared in <em>Facts of Life <\/em>and<em> Malcolm in the Middle <\/em>and voiced characters on <em>The Croods <\/em>and <em>Bob&#8217;s Burgers<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With 22 Emmy Award nods, she is the most nominated actress in history &#8211; and she is tied for most wins (eight) with Julia Louis-Dreyfus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paying tribute to the actress on Wednesday, the animal lover&#8217;s friends at PETA called her one of the &#8220;most dedicated advocates&#8221;.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>&#8220;A vegetarian since the 1950s, she lent her timeless beauty to PETA&#8217;s Let Vegetarianism Grow on You ad, her charm to our Give Thanks &amp; Go Vegetarian! holiday campaign<\/em>,<em> and her quirky wit to our spay\/neuter public service announcement,&#8221; PETA president Lisa Lange says.\u00a0<\/em><\/p><p><em>&#8220;It was our honor to present her with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her efforts to help animals great and small, from orcas at SeaWorld and elephants in circuses to caged birds in retirement homes, and we will always treasure her legacy of compassion.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Source: WENN<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Image: NBC \/ Contributor\/ Getty Images<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Golden Globe winner, Cloris Leachman has sadly died at the age of 94.
