News broke yesterday that unofficial Aussie, Zac Efron<\/a> had reportedly called it quits with his Australian girlfriend.

He’d been dating aspiring model Vanessa Valladares since last June, after meeting Down Under while she was working as a waitress but that’s all history now according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Late last year, the couple was rocked by rumours of a split, but the pair silenced the speculation in December by reuniting for a beach date in Adelaide, where Efron was filming new movie Gold.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since The Tele<\/em> broke news of their split, the Daily Mail Australia<\/a> <\/em>has come swinging in with a spicy bit of goss as to why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it’s two words baby: Byron Baes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The publication reports that an insider let spill that ol’ mate Zac Efron broke up with Vanessa \u201cafter discovering she was to appear on a controversial new reality show.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
