Over the course of his iconic career, Bert Newton<\/a> made his way into the hearts of many Australians.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the nation continues to mourn the loss of the showbiz icon, more details about his state funeral service have been revealed, including how the public can watch the ceremony. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bert’s longtime friend, Peter Ford, took to Twitter to share that Bert will be farewelled at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Melbourne on Friday, November 12th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony will take place at 10 am. As there is a cap of 500 guests, \u201cThe Mass will be shown on screens at Federation Square and will be live-streamed,” Peter wrote. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The live stream will be shared on Channel 10 along with “a very special edition” of Studio 10. <\/em>Coverage of the funeral will begin at 8am for fans wishing to watch the ceremony in real-time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Join us for a very special edition of Studio 10 next Friday, Nov 12, as we celebrate the life of Bert Newton with golden moments from the Channel 10 archive, memories from his friends and co-stars, and his state funeral live,” a statement read via the official Studio 10 Instagram account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
