The Australian sporting community and world cricket is mourning the death of Shane Warne, after he was found dead overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
‘Warnie’ was in Thailand’s Koh Samui and found unresponsive in his villa, suffering a suspected heart attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Warne\u2019s management releasing a statement that on-site medical staff did everything they could but that he could not be revived, asked for privacy for his family and that further details would be released in due course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Considered by many to be the greatest bowler the game of Cricket has ever seen, Warnie claimed 708 Test wickets during his fifteen year career \u2013 the most by any Australian bowler \u2013 was part of a World Cup-winning Australian side in 1999 as well as five successful Ashes campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shane Warne was perhaps the most prolific post-career Australian Cricket player, becoming a highly-sought commentator, businessman, released his own fragrance, was ambassador to Melbourne nightclub ‘Club 23’ which was named in his honor and even had an infamously short stint on reality TV show ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His death is the second in less than twenty-four hours for Australian Cricket, with Rod Marsh passing away Friday morning after suffering a major heart attack last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tributes have begun flowing in for Warne, from old teammates and international opponents all taking to social media to share their shock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
