Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, with 1 in 7 women that will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. The National Breast Cancer Foundation have set a goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030 that the Classic supports through their fun run events, taking place every Mother’s Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As Australia’s largest fun run for breast cancer research, the Mother’s Day Classic community has donated $39.95 million to the National Breast Cancer Foundation since the event’s inception in 1998. Walking or running in the Mother’s Day Classic is a fantastic way to honour and support the people in our lives with breast cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are so many ways to get involved in the Classic this year; there are major events taking place in the city with an event village, entertainment, music, and food stalls to enjoy throughout the day. If you’re looking for something more local, you can join the sea of pink in your local community or even walk or run in your own time and place if you can’t mnake it to an event on the day!
