Just like the movie, Madagascar The Musical<\/em> follows all the favourite crack-a-lackin\u2019 friends as they escape from their home in New York\u2019s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien\u2019s Madagascar! Alex the lion is the King of the urban jungle, the main attraction at New York\u2019s Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends \u2013 Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hip hip hippo \u2013 have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public without a care in the world. Or so they thought. Not content to leave well enough alone, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and makes his daring escape \u2013 with the help of some plotting penguins \u2013 to explore the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
