Broadway sensation Wicked<\/em> is making its magical return to Australia in 2023 and we\u2019re ready to fall in love with the story of two unlikely friends all over again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The musical <\/a>will open and play at the Sydney Lyric Theatre next August, during what will be the show\u2019s 20th anniversary year on Broadway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NSW Minister for the Arts and Tourism Ben Franklin claims the production will bring a significant boost for the NSW visitor economy and \u201cdraw tens of thousands of musical lovers to the Harbour City.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSecuring blockbuster musicals for Sydney is key to our vision for the NSW visitor economy. This production will generate millions in visitor expenditure, support jobs in our arts and hospitality industries and help position Sydney as the cultural events capital of the Asia Pacific,\u201d Franklin said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
