As announced by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CrIockSvAKw\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Royal Family,<\/a> a quiche was personally chosen by The King and The Queen Consort as the star dish of their celebratory feast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Introducing\u2026 Coronation Quiche!<br><br>Chosen personally by Their Majesties, The King and The Queen Consort have shared a recipe in celebration of the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/CoronationBigLunch?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#CoronationBigLunch<\/a> taking place up and down the country. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/aVcw9tNarP\">pic.twitter.com\/aVcw9tNarP<\/a><\/p>&mdash; The Royal Family (@RoyalFamily) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RoyalFamily\/status\/1647917367798939648?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 17, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckenziesfoods.com.au\/recipe\/coronation-spinach-feta-quiche\/\">McKenzie\u2019s Foods<\/a> has created their own version of the Coronation Quiche and if you\u2019re a fan of spinach and feta (who isn\u2019t?) it\u2019ll be a real treat.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s everything you\u2019ll need to know about this Coronation Quiche recipe, which serves eight people:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pastry:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>200g McKenzie&#8217;s Wholemeal Spelt Flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp McKenzie&#8217;s Australian Natural Sea Salt Large Grinder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>110g unsalted butter, cut into cubes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 tbs cold water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Filling:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2 tsp olive oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 shallots, peeled and thinly sliced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 garlic cloves, crushed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 large eggs, lightly beaten<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>300ml thickened cream<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 tsp McKenzie&#8217;s Australian Natural Sea Salt Large Grinder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 tsp McKenzie&#8217;s Whole Black Peppercorn Large Grinder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100g baby spinach leaves, finely chopped<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100g feta cheese<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For pastry: In the bowl of a food processor add flour and salt and pulse for 10 seconds to combine. While pulsing, gradually add the cold butter cubes until a crumbly texture is achieved.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\">\n<li>Slowly add the cold water, a tablespoon at a time while blending until the dough comes together. Form a disk and let dough rest on the bench for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\">\n<li>Lightly grease a 23cm quiche pan. Roll the dough approximately 4mm in thickness to fit the quiche pan. Prick the base with a fork. Let it rest in the fridge for 1 hour.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\">\n<li>Preheat the oven to 180\u00b0C (fan forced).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\">\n<li>Once rested, line the dough with baking paper, add beans or rice and blind bake the pastry for 20 minutes. Remove the weights and set aside. While the dough is blind baking, prepare the filling.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"6\">\n<li>For filling: In a small pan, heat oil and cook the finely sliced shallots for 5 minutes to soften, then add garlic and cook for another 2 minutes on low heat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"7\">\n<li>Spoon the shallot mixture into the cooked pastry and spread evenly along the base.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"8\">\n<li>In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, salt and pepper and fold through the chopped spinach. Pour this mixture into the pastry shell, careful not to overfill. Arrange the cubes of feta on top.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"9\">\n<li>Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the centre of the quiche is set.
