But with all that glory comes one downside, hardcore battery drainage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But a hidden iPhone setting is being hailed as a game-changer on social media for improving battery life. It\u2019s a setting Apple actually released last year but has somehow stayed lowkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u2018new\u2019 setting is called \u2018Optimised Battery Charging\u2019 and, in a nutshell, is designed to reduce the wear on your battery and improve its lifespan by reducing the time your phone spends fully charged. Weird, we know but stick with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apple says the feature delays charging an iPhone past 80 per cent because the battery will chemically age if it always reaches 100 per cent power.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s how to set it up on your phone:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, find the Settings app on your Home Screen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open Settings, then click Battery &gt; Battery Health &amp; Charging &gt; Optimized Battery Charging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once set, optimised charging will limit the amount of time your iPhone&#8217;s battery is fully charged and slow the charging rate after your phone hits 80 per cent.&nbsp;FYI, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-mide\/HT210512\">Apple<\/a>, Optimised Battery Charging needs at least two weeks to fully learn your charging habits.
