There\u2019s always the constant struggle between what looks best, feels best and is what is most affordable. But, let\u2019s be real, the chance of us choosing a bra that can cater to all those needs without at least some professional help is highly unlikely.<\/p>\n

Sick of winging it in the bra-fitting department, we enlisted the help of Paula Svoboda, Triumph<\/a>\u2019s bra fitting expert to help us find our perfect match.<\/p>\n

\"BRA\"<\/p>\n

Here are five of the best tips she gave us:<\/p>\n

1. If the wire\u2019s digging in, throw it in the bin<\/h3>\n

Paula says that if the wire of your bra is digging into your skin, you\u2019re wearing the wrong size and the bra is too small. So it Ladies, if you are sitting through a day\u2019s work of discomfort, it may be may be time for an upgrade.<\/p>\n

2. The diaphragm of your bra is what is the most important part<\/h3>\n

Paula continued, by saying that the diaphragm forms the foundations of support, hence deeming it as the most important element of the bra itself.<\/p>\n

\u201c80% of bust support comes from the under band so you need to ensure that it remains firm, yet comfortable\u2026 If the shoulder straps are falling off, then the bra is too big for your diaphragm, try going down a size in the band.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

3. Choose the sports bra that meets your exercise needs<\/h3>\n

Look for sports bras that flatter your shape, not flatten them.<\/p>\n

If cardio is your exercise of choice, look for styles that have been professionally tested and certified to provide a high level of bounce support.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you are likely to work up a sweat when you work out, go for bras that are made from anti-bounce compression fabrics and feature moisture management properties.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

4. If you have a larger bust, then finding a supportive bra is even more important<\/h3>\n

Go for styles with thicker straps and a wider band with more hooks. Three band hooks or more will help to keep your bust in line, and the thicker straps will provide increased leverage.<\/p>\n

5. Finally, the most important tip \u2013 get fitted professionally<\/h3>\n

One fitting three years ago doesn’t mean you necessarily know the size you are now. Ill-fitting bras are not only uncomfortable, they can lead to irreversible breast sag! Even if you are an A cup, it is as important to wear a correctly supportive bra as if you are an E.<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/em>I have seen many women\u2019s confidence transformed by a simple bra fitting, some have even been reduced to tears of joy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
